ESG

ESG is our DNA!

We were born with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance practices) in our DNA by transforming waste that would be discarded by millions of Brazilians into raw material and renewable energy.

With environmental, social and corporate governance principles integrated into our business model, we deliver solutions that drive climate change mitigation and the circular economy, in addition to promoting a greener agenda in Brazil.

Our ESG Performance

WE PROMOTE THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY, GENERATE RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ACCELERATE THE LOW CARBON ECONOMY

  • We registered the world’s first carbon credit generation project approved through the UN’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), with 5 projects currently registered!
  • We have the capacity to generate 800,000 MWh/year of energy from renewable sources with the operation of our Ecoparks.
  • We have the capacity to process 500 tons of urban solid waste per year, generating around 30 thousand tons of recyclable materials that can be reintroduced into the production chain, promoting the circular economy.
  • By taking care of what is discarded daily by about 30 million Brazilians, we prevent 2.1 million tons of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere.

Actions that build a new tomorrow!

Environmental Education Center

Our environmental education center is located in Paulínia and has been a benchmark in Brazil since 2006. We receive more than 30 thousand people a year.

With the purpose of contributing to strengthening environmental education in education systems, we developed an Environmental Education Program (PEA) that fosters discussions about waste and the environment.

Social Development and Local Communities

We understand that we have responsibilities towards the communities surrounding our Ecoparks. Therefore, we prioritize hiring residents in the area where our Ecoparks are present, in addition to sponsoring and promoting social, sports, environmental and cultural actions with the objective of developing, training and providing opportunities for these people.
